Service Desk Technician/Technologist Role

Information Systems -Description:

The Store Systems Technician is responsible for supporting the organization’s technical support work order process through call dispatching functions. This individual serves as the first line of response for technical issues streaming from field personnel and optimizes available resources to ensure accurate and efficient problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Provides support to Store Systems Service Desk team responsible for handling trouble tickets submitted by Client and Client store teams for all technical equipment and software applications at the store.

- Hosted telephony, softphone, incident tools,

- Knowledge of tools, experience with industry technologies

- Ensures exceptional customer service to all field personnel and locations, while working to maximize efficiency.

- Consistently follow all help desk standards and policies.

 Qualifications Preferred:

-Performs basic call taking and troubleshooting functions. Follows up on open service complaints and ensures a solution is met for vendor-related issues.

- Point Of Sales troubleshooting, Software (RPOS, Commander, StorePoint, Verifone)

- POS and Self-Check Out configuration knowledge / troubleshooting

- Forecourt awareness and troubleshooting (payment card, connectivity, fuel transactions)

- Familiarity with the Convenience, Fuel and Retail solutions

- Information Technology, or related field preferred

-3+ years’ experience in a technical support/ help desk role a plus

-Knowledge of PC, network, hardware, and software installation and configuration a plus

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, Microsoft Office applications, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Compensation…

The pay range for this position will be based on industry experience. Base pay offered may vary depending on several factors including geographical location, skills, education, certifications, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits (401(k) eligibility, PTO), dependent on the position.
